Help requested - Audio not working. Update - truck is dead

Got the diagnosis from my dealer - fried audio control module due to water intrusion / corrosion. Which of course means it isn't covered by warranty. Another $872 into the truck.

So between repair costs and the hotel / rental we had to get when it died in D.C. we have spent over $4,000 on this less than 3 years old truck that wasn't involved in any accidents or incidents.

Not feeling great about Ford right now....

Did you contact the BEV team to see if they would help with the expenses from the trip when the truck died?

I did, they would not. They did point me at the extended warranty I have which will cover some of the rental costs (max of $450). That hasn't processed through yet, but I removed it from the total.

Unknown at this time. They tried to claim leakage from the dash area (i.e. spilled drink), but I have never had a drink or any liquid up there. The only liquid I can think is from the sunroof and other roof leaks I have had.

Resurrecting this old thread of mine to let you all know, that after months of trying, the dealer has given up and told me if I want reimbursement for any of my hotel / rental costs stemming from the powertrain failure, I would need to go through Ford. But Ford told me I had to go through the dealer. Anyone have any other numbers I can try and call?

I think I might be done with future Ford products given this level of (bad) customer service after being an early adopter of both of their consumer EV platforms.

Dealer got me $40/day for my Hyundai rental while waiting for them to get HV battery modules replaced (25S18, they had to drop battery to check serial numbers before ordering, even though they knew which ones were to be replaced, so wasted more of my time and dealer space). Dealer said if it was under my extended warranty (not yet) the coverage would be $60/day. Still not enough to cover a truck rental, cheapstakes. Asked Ford BEV to cover extra, but they said it had to be a Ford VIN to be possibly covered.

Yeah, I am limited to $45/day for up to 10 days, but I would be happy to get that. better than nothing.

@sotek2345 Did the ACM replacement fix the Audio and GPS issues. I am having the same issue that just popped up today. Was there any investigation into the antennas, as you suspected??

Yes, the ACM replacement fixed those issues. They said it failed due to corrosion and would t cover it under warranty though.

Appears to be an intermittent issue for me, as it started working again this morning...and failed 25 minutes later.
I have started a new thread, and thus changed the link for the previous thread above.
