I've had a CSP since I took dellivery of my Ligntning in May, 2022. Not a single problem with it. Love the CSP and the Lightning.

What setting do you have it at?

Back to after the FCSP was replaced, the HIS would act like it transfered to backup, the FCSP throbbed green but no power transfer occured, after 60 to 90 seconds it would trip off with an error sometimes, but not always, on the truck.
This is exactly happens with mine.

Do you have any idea what setting Ford/Delta changed on the inverter? I have the installer password and installer app for the HIS, so in theory I should be able to make necessary changes.

Failing that, who do I talk to at Ford to get them to look into the issue?

FCSP came with the truck so free beats any other price. ;)
I beg to differ... sold my FCSP for more than its replacement cost, so I got paid for my charger. lol Plus the cost to upgrade everything to be able to use 80amps was going to be a LOT more than what I needed for 48amp charging. I am leaving 32amps of charge capability on the table, though I rarely can't charge back up overnight at 48

We should build a FCSP serial database, I wonder if the early units were more prone to fail.

I am on my 3rd the first 2 had the modem chip or whatever is responsible for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth die, charging worked fine and it looked normal. If you never use the HiS or checked anything via Wi-Fi you'd never know. I noticed it always would drop the wifi connection and would fail to allow connection to the settings and status pages before mine failed entirely. At that point the reset button didn't reset it and it wouldn't broadcast or connect to any Wi-Fi. No Bluetooth no HIS transfer.

I also recall it would never allow limiting the charge in software.

So far (🙏) my 3rd unit is working properly, all the above issues are solved. The software charge derate also works mid charge, no replug required.

I noticed the new unit has a different id on it. The first units were SWA### but the new one is SWA###FW. Did they revise the hardware? The antenna in the device still sucks, it is 3ft further away from the wireless access point than the delta inverter but it is -30dB reported signal level than the inverter.

Also my previous units were never used to charge the truck I always charge for free at work. So overheating due to high amp charging should not apply. I also have the unit installed indoors so it is not exposed to extreme temperatures or conditions.
I have a unit that arrived in July 2022 with my truck, have had it installed on a 100A breaker, charging at 80A since day one. I had the WiFi disconnect one time, but found that my access point was having issues. Had to setup a dedicated wifi network for devices. Even my Tesla charger was having an issue. I put 25k miles on my truck last year, charging every night at the house, not a single problem.

What did you pay for install of your charger? Install was included with mine.
$840 after my utility's $500 rebate. Ford didn't offer free installation for those of us driving 2022 models.

I ended up selling mine for petty reasons. I wasn’t using the home backup function and flipping down the DC cover every day got annoying. I wanted the smaller plug and cable for everyday use 😂

Not a big expense IMO... plus it was effectively $740 after the money I made on the charger swap. Less than 1% of what the truck cost me in August 2022.

I still can’t believe ford wasnt able to give me tracking on my replacement charger and told me just to wait till it arrives. And it ended up arriving at my old residency.

I'm glad I didn't get one included for this reason alone 🤣

I spent almost 1200 in copper to get mine into my garage. It was painful.
Ouch! Mine is eight conduit feet from my main electrical panel. I wired it for a 60 amp breaker since I have a 48 amp charger in my 24 Flash. That way the wire was easier to work with and less expensive. Pretty sure I have less than $100 invested in my install for the breaker, conduit, and wire. I did the installation (yes, I'm qualified to do it).

Mine bought on eBay new unused in the box did not have the FW.
It had some wifi connection issues until the software and firmware was updated in March 2025 and April 2025 to:

March 16, 2025: Software: 2.112.125:3.15:3.15:3.15:3.15
April 12, 2025: Firmware: 5.0.25

After the updates, it connected reliably and completed the install so I can change the max current and see the insights.

Never tried the BlueTooth, don't have an HIS system.

Occasional resets required, no idea why, just random, only a few times since install back in June 2024.

I found I could live with lower than the 48A max my SR can use, so lowered it to 32A.
I did wire it for 80A on a 100Abreaker in case in the future I needed it.

@Aminorjourney you could lower the max current yourself with the Ford amp, or with the circuit board dial, maybe you knew that?

Worth a try with the new one to reduce heat generation from charging.

But the HIS backup current will generate some heat as well, less than the 80A charging current (right?) - I think the limit is 40ADC from the truck to the Inverter.
