Printing one as well to replace my hitch when I don't need it, thank you!

Anyone wants one who is local to me, I can print this for you at no cost. If you're further, I'm willing to ship if you cover shipping.

Interesting. I looked at 3D printers a few years ago but didn't really have a use for one other than playing around.

What printer would anyone recommend and the price? Also what plastic inventory to get and cost?

I probably wouldn't spend too much unless I knew more about what designs are on the web for free. Thanks.

I have a few observations in this arena. I've been 3d printing for several years now and had my share of tinker till you drop episodes with several different brands then bought a Bambu Lab X1C, have over 2000 hours of error free printing on that machine so far. They have newer machines that are supposedly even better although I can't imagine how.

The key thing where automotive is concerned is heat, you're not going to print willy nilly with PLA and expect it to last a full day in the summer, PLA melts. Need to print with material that can withstand that kind of heat. Mostly anything except PLA (plant based).

Shown is a large format printer, the X1C is next to it off camera and the tubs full of filament of variety need to be kept dry, less than 20% humidity.

Price is all over the map, let your internet search begin for the best. Try to remember 3d printing is very addictive and will easily drain the wallet if not careful lol.

I didn't mention resin 3d printing as that's a whole other level of getting into the wallet not to mention it's messy and stinky and yes I do have that as well, it only gets used when extremely detailed pieces are needed.
