Hey all! I recently had my battery repaired - array 8, I believe. Charging and battery performance seems to be back to normal. However, the truck itself does not seem the same. I recognize that there can be some psychological impacts from a major repair and/or an accident, but I don't believe this to be the issue.

The truck seems significantly more "bouncy" and out of control. Before, it seemed tighter and way more sporty in its performance. I bought the truck slightly used and wonder if it is possible that the original owner did some things that may have been undone by the dealership. Or, the suspension took a hit during the operation? Maybe something wasn't tightened back to factory specs?

I'm not quite ready to let the dealership hear my complaints, but I wondered if anyone smarter than me (not hard, trust me) might have some insight into what I'm experiencing... I appreciate all opinions and suggestions.

Thank you

Have you checked all of your settings regarding driving modes, etc. The truck probably reset to original setting. There hasn't been any postings that I have seen to answer your question.

Maybe because of the bad module your truck was originally not very sporty?
A bad module can cause a reduction in acceleration ability.

In good shape it can be rather impressive with acceleration - watch out for 'ludicrous speed' settings (ala Space Balls the movie)...:)

I cannot floor the thing without all the blood rushing to the back of my head!

I would just take it to the dealer and tell them your issue and have them drive it. It could be a safety issue. The battery is obviously a big deal with removing of lots of parts and likely suspension parts. They can check those to make sure they were torqued back to spec etc. like you stated. Control arm or ball joints were likely disturbed while being on the hoist working on the battery along with shocks/struts. Doing a bit more research, there is a better chance no suspension should have been touched when changing or swapping parts of the main battery.

I am now going to agree with PreservedSwine and that the suspension should not have had to be touched. I crossed out parts of my earlier contribution to this thread.

How exactly did you get your text struck through? I have been looking for capability for sometime now.

Depending how many miles you done since the repair, the suspension might still be settling in from being fully extended while on a lift.
I've probably only done a couple hundred miles since the operation. I hadn't considered this - thank you for the suggestion.

Did they adjust the air pressure in your tires? They should be at 42psi cold. Some trucks were stickered with a lower pressure which is inadequate for such a heavy vehicle.

It's not that - I keep them around 46 and I double checked. Thank you
