Does your headlight symbol on your instrument cluster look like this? Are you going at least 30 to 35 mph when you are testing them?

What is your Forscan experience? Pro or newbie? It sounds like you missed a setting or two. You can try to a module reboot on the APIM and maybe the others. Also look to see what DTCs you have. Particularly with HCM.

I show how to reboot a module here.

I just did this for my 24 Flash two days ago. I did all the right things and did the soft reset along with turning on and off the truck but the menu did not show glare free option UNTIL I simply turned my light switch from auto to off and back to auto and.... It worked! Its really nice so far. Hope this helps someone else having trouble.

Good point.
I should have added that some folks have had to go through several restarts or maybe the modules sleeping before the functionality appeared. Rebooting should accomplish the same thing I would think.

I had the green icon and didn’t notice a difference. Resetting APIM module did the trick. You should absolutely notice it. I was underwhelmed before realizing I didn’t have them properly enabled. Just adding my experience since I had the green headlight icon and still didn’t have them enabled.

Mine kick on at exactly 25mph, which is irritating when driving up the gravel road to get to my driveway. It's either speed up a bit or turn on the brights manually. Worst is that they were on until I slowed down to turn onto the private road.

That's interesting..

Mine only activate when there is an on-coming vehicle and they keep the area directly in front of my truck well lit no matter what speed I am going.

Most of my driving is neighborhood streets with stops and turns where my speed will drop below 25mph, and I never noticed speed being a factor for the glare-free effect - I'll have to see if I just didn't notice it next time I'm out at night.

One other thing the FORscan post mentioned:

"...check there aren't any checksum DTC's set for the HCM..."

I assume if there are you would have to clear them first maybe?

I probably wasn't clear... they won't go back to full-on bright until 25mph, which may or may not be part of the anti-glare itself now that I think about. I'm presuming that the anti-glare functionality works at the same speed, though, since it would be silly to have them remain at full brightness for 5-10mph regardless of oncoming traffic.
