Was wondering how your truck scoots thru deep sand? Not a great pic but here’s my pro working with a tracked drill rig out in the California desert. Lightning has a little over 1,000lbs of water and tools in the back.

Real good. That photo was my old standard range pro on “all terrains”. I have since upgraded to an xlt extended range on all seasons. I definitely feel that the old pro was a bit more sure footed on the sand. That said they are both great. I did manage to get the xlt stuck on a really soft uphill section. To be fair though I was working with some guys on tracked heavy duty equipment so I was lazy and didn’t bother airing down. They gave me a pull and I was on my way.Was wondering how your truck scoots thru deep sand?
Did you have the rear Elock engaged and in off-road mode? Was thinking about taking mine to Glamis. Nothing crazy but I’d like to be able to head out to Oldsmobile hill using the sand highway.Real good. That photo was my old standard range pro on “all terrains”. I did but I was placing stakes for the other guys and managed to stop in a really bad spot. If I had aired down it likely would not have been a problem. Obviously glamis is real soft to so just be sure to air down and only stop on downhills if you can.Did you have the rear Elock engaged and in off-road mode? Was thinking about taking mine to Glamis. When I retired in 2016, I was staying out there in the washes for 4-5 months at a time during the winter season. It’s not like it used to be and after 3 seasons I ended up selling the RV and off road car and trailer. Lot of theft and asshats selling dope. You no longer can leave your camp to go for a ride and expect to come back finding all your shit still there. Really sad bro.I did but I was placing stakes for the other guys and managed to stop in a really bad spot. If I had aired down it likely would not have been a problem. I miss Glamis. Used to go riding out there all the time back in the early 2000s. Need to fix all my old dirt bikes and get back out there haha.
