Brian @Ford Motor Company thank you for the awesome support and transparency.

Quick question, will you continue to evaluate the DCFC charging curve on the Lightning? The updated curve that the 2025’s shipped with is great, but still hardly stresses the pack. It would be fantastic to see if 500a can be held longer.

That’s said if it’s prioritizing DCFC speeds or improving the app and Sync UI experience for owners, then I’d say focus on the user experience. 🤣

Has anyone said anything other than the United States is lagging sorely behind the rest of the world? The statement stands, and is still true.

Where it will take them 15 more years, we're on track for half a century or more of "no take my vroom vroom".
Well, which nation is the world's leading oil producer? Hint, it isn't in the Middle East.

Getting off of oil is is becoming a security issue for other countries, aside from the environmental and health impacts.

What does that have to do with Ford or this community? That’s political policy which we have no control over.

I'm not even sure what this posting from Ford implies. EREV?? LFP Battery, mid-size truck? On-Board Generator? If you're asking me if I would buy a Mid-Size (Ford Ranger), with a battery that is twice as heavy, get's 2/3 of the storage efficiency of the current battery, and would have to be as heavy as a full size T3 Ford Lightning, the answer is no thanks. LFP is a battery tech that has been around a while, and while it has a lot of charge cycles, just doesn't meet the goal of having a 100% EV that can tow heavy trailers, and needs a gas motor to charge the battery en-route, you might want to poll your customers, because this will not be a good seller in my opinion. You should look at the new AL-Ion battery, which is 1/2 the weight, and charges fast and has the potential for very good range. You have a good product in the Ford Lightning, (T3), and just needed to work on the range, and lowering the cost.

Good Luck to Ford,

Why not keep the BEV option for those of us who rarely tow and when we do we don’t go far. I can see for that user who has long-distance towing as part of the recreation or their business, the ERBV would be an advantage. However, it adds a lot of complexity and a lot more maintenance. I would think a modular add-on for extended range of the current vehicle would make sense. EV battery costs are going to come down, but I don’t see the technology that an EREV like you are proposing is gonna make this more affordable. Good luck with your new endeavor. Unfortunately I have no use for it and I will just keep my BEV until I’m either too old to drive or my Lightning wears out, whichever comes first.

I’m happy to keep my ‘24 Flash for as long as possible. What I’m worried about is parts and batteries being available for those of us who get the extended warranty and stay for the long haul.
That’s my concern as well, I just purchased mine two weeks ago and paid Ford 4200.00 for the Premium extended warranty nine years or 125,000 miles bumper-to-bumper.

This should have been Ford's solution. It still can be without having to change a thing with the Lightning.

2 miles per kWh towing a trailer 200 miles with 30% charge left.

Message to Ford:

Ford: It's about the Energy eco system, not a truck. You had poor sales because you didn't address the whole system, this is where you have to go to grow in the future. If you think you are "just" a car company, you will be relegated to the back as energy systems companies offer full solutions.

Ford should invest in this company so trailers can be built with this drive system for all markets, commercial, leisure, recreational. It doesn't stop there, Ford would also need to invest in charging locations where you can charge both the truck and trailer at the same time. THEN they can tie in that nice big fat battery on the trailer (that Ford would also produce) into the home energy system and the solar panels on top of the trailer. Home energy by Ford. This would capture the future market, not give it to more aggressive competitors.

Use case....me: I am building EV offroad vehicles. My enclosed trailer "could" be charging all week long using solar panels and the battery under the trailer. That battery and associated motor would then assist me when I travel to a race without undue charge stops and time (and over heated batteries and over heated motors). When I arrive I can recharge my electric vehicles from the trailer battery and it gets a bonus charge from the solar over the next few days. When I get back home my trailer is now my energy backup for my home.

Ford: There is SO much value to be had here and you have all of the components to make it happen. Stop what you are doing and go make it happen!

Putting in my hope for open source software or at least full control developer accounts for owners.

Please?

I’d love to see much more aerodynamic consideration in the RV world, but lightship can keep their $150-200K solution.

I don't think Ford would/could do that until the warranty period runs out for the battery and drive train. Otherwise, they'd be opening a can of worms for themselves. But, YEAH!, after our warranties are dead, 100%! (y)

4th time asking for a statement on the HIS issues and what the plan is.
I know this has been frustrating. What I have been doing is raising what I'm seeing among folks in this forum to see what help I can provide, as recently as this morning. I'm on it, as much as I can.
