Wow, got the monthly reminder to charge to 100% and the GOM was generous this time.

After getting the monthly reminder to charge to 100%, I charged overnight since I was at 11%, I thought it was a perfect day to do it. The GOM was generous this time, giving me 327 miles! Woah! That is the most I have ever seen my dash display.
Yeah, I know I won't actually get that amount of miles to actually drive with, but it was nice to see it within the ballpark of my Lightning's sticker EPA estimate of 335 max!

I was under the impression that the reminder to charge to 100% was only sent to to those with LFP batteries. AFAIK, none of Lightning have them. Only recent MME with smaller batteries.

Thought the Flash has a 300 EPA. My 23 Lariat ER had a 320?
I don't remember when, but most if not all '24 Flash have the 131kWh battery for 320 EPA range. I *think* in '25 they started using the slightly smaller battery, 123kWh for 300 EPA range.

Mine is a 24 Flash ER, and the window sticker said the estimated max range was 335 miles. I actually do have a mustang mach e as well. Both vehicles get the notification to charge tp 100%.. The lightning gets one on the 24th each month, the mach e comes on the 10th.
Usually the truck has 295 to 300 after the charge, this time I got a higher total, I guess my driving habits have massively improved over the past month, lol!

It's in the Ford app. It goes in the notifications area, like when a charge is completed, etc. Also, if the app is allowing notifications to your phone, it will show on your phone

Mind blown.🤯

I'd heard Kia recommends charging to 100% monthly but have never seen guidance from Ford.

I try to charge to 100% occasionally but it's never monthly.

Hey there @Discwizard70 - do you also happen to have a Standard Range Mustang Mach-E in your Ford app account? If so, that's who that message was targeted to. There are no LFP F-150 Lightings, so no F-150 Lightnings should get this message.

And just for everyone else - the LFP charge to 100% monthly guidance is for Mustang Mach-E Standard Range 2023.5+ - not for any F-150 Lightning. Of course, you can charge your F-150 Lightning to 100% if you need, but Ford recommends 90% for day-to-day charging when the full range isn't required.

I do have a standard range premium, however, I do get notifications for both vehicles at different times of the month, as stated above.
I see the messages when switching to one vehicle or the other at the main page. They come twice a month at separate times, so I believe it is one for each, do you think I should not charge the Lightning Flash ER 100%, due to the chemical makeup of the ER battery vs the SR{LFP}?

You should only charge the Lightning to 100% for a trip, or to calibrate the BMS every six months or so. Otherwise, 90%.

OK, I will ignore the other 10 notifications for the Lightning, but I'll follow the Mach E still. Thanks for the info. It's strange that Ford sends these for my truck then....
I did open the PDF manual, also in the app, to verify what you are saying, and I can confirm that it is, indeed, saying that the LFP battery... Whether in a Mach E or a Lightning... are the ones to change monthly to 100%. All ER vehicles are only recommended for extra immediate use or battery balancing.
Good thing I traveled about 140 miles after the 100% charge that morning, as it appears that it may be bad to charge the ER batteries to 100% and not use them fairly immediately.
Thanks again for the heads up!

It's not a setting, it comes up in the messages area. I assume it's sent by Ford roughly every 30 days or so, or on the _th of each month, etc.
Not sure you can opt to change it, activate it, turn it off or anything.
