Probably not the most appropriate place to ask, but if anyone is parting with their Comma 4 (lease return, truck sale, etc) and / or Lightning coupler, I may be interested.

I have a friend with a C3X and coupler for sale, I can see if it;s gone yet if you are interested. If you only want C4, I won't ask him.

Hey everyone,

Quick heads-up: we're discontinuing the Lightning Coupler once this batch sells out.

Orders have dropped off sharply over the last stretch, and these have to be ordered a few hundred at a time. Sitting on that much inventory at current demand doesn't make sense, and small-batch ordering after import costs would mean raising the price to a point I'm not comfortable with.

If you want one, the order links are below:

Coupler: https://bluepilot.dev/lightning-coupler-order-page/

Dock with integrated coupler: https://bluepilot.dev/dock-order-page/

I can't estimate how long the remaining stock will last, so order sooner rather than later if you need one or want a spare.
I'm looking at buying a second comma for the Mach-E. Is the coupler needed since it is the same harness as the lightning?

No need for the Lightning coupler in a Mach-E, only needed for a Lightning.

The Lightning is unique in that the stock Comma setup causes "CAN bus reflections" that are the cause of all of the errors when you start the Lightning. I can't explain what a "CAN bus reflection" is, but I know that the coupler works.

MachE can't reverse power the house automatically during a power outage.... no need for the coupler.

Hey Tony!
I have one of your couplers and each time I turn on cruise, I get an alert on the dash "Lane keeping system off". I believe this is because the comma 4 handles that, but is there a way to avoid that notification?

I may be thinking about the wrong thing, but isn’t that normal with BP7 @Ajzride?

Yes. This is normal and expected.

Ford has two technologies:

Lane Keeping System (nudges you back towards center if you get to close to the line)
Lane Centering System (constantly steers)

The comma uses Lane Centering. It has to turn off Lane Keeping to prevent conflicts.

Much appreciated for the response. Is there a way to turn off the ford lane keep assist "permanently" to prevent that from coming up? Not a huge deal...just curious if there's a workaround

Strange issue today. Twice on separate 30+ minute drives while going about 60mph the Comma4 when take control immediately 2x and then turned off with "Calibration Invalid". I fiddled with the settings trying to find the recalibrate but during that it went back to normal so I finished my drive. On the way back home, it did the same about 15 minutes into the drive. This time I stopped near my destination and found the calibration option and then recalibrated before arriving home.

Is there a known cause of this?

That is normal. Just ignore.

ensure the tape on your mount/dock isn't coming loose.

Mounted tightly. It happened again on another 30 minute drive about 10 minutes into the drive.

Should I try to go back to Open Pilot and then flash back to BP7??
send me a message with a route where it happens.
