If you have the AC issue, it will resolve with the coupler. It usually sticks around until cleared otherwise. Some have reported issues on the 24 specifically when comma power is in use with the coupler. But no one has responded back after its (assumed) resolved.

You can install it if you want. You will get startup errors, but you can unplug the long USB C cable from the harness box if it bothers you. Just decide where you want to put the coupler when it comes in if you do install it.

It will be locked in park without it hooked up. You have to have the ignition on and the brake pedal depressed to shift it from park.

I think this may be motorized. Between the two I have (One motorized and one not) yours looks like the motorized version - 4 screws on top and the diamond bottom.
