I realized after getting my mach e that more bad smells made it in when compared to my previous vehicles. I got the pureflow and I no longer smelled the cars in front of me.

Immediately noticed the same issue with the lightning and got the pureflow. Maybe I should try the secret filter.

I think the activated charcoal should help a lot compared to the stock filter and it’s a good middle ground upgrade without killing the airflow .

I didn't know there was a washable filter. I just ordered standard ones for my Mach E and Lightning (both at 60K miles) but will think about the washable next time.

Doing this test at two doesn’t show the entire picture of it and you would have to do it on max to see what the true air flow restriction is I doubt it’s that big of a difference at higher speeds

Most don't run with their fan at max, and the auto climate doesn't really kick up the speed simply because the cabin isn't the set temp, as I encountered with the more restrictive filters. So it doesn't matter as much even if the gap narrowed at high fan speeds when 99% of the time the fan isn't running at those speeds.

I know there are those that ignore auto climate and mess with their climate controls all the time manually, but I have never found a reason to on Ford vehicles when everything is working properly.

So, the "secret" filter fpp92 "odour and pollen filter" is literally the first filter listed on the Ford parts site. Ford list is $55 CAD. The 2nd filter listed is the fp92 "pollen filter" at $52CAD.

Regardless, I always buy the cheapest one I can find, $23cad at CT, so much dust gets in my truck from daily use that the cabin air filter is just there to keep the blower and ducts clean.

I’m in Sacramento and it’s hotter than Satan butt hole. I’m in LO auto and it blows at max setting all the time. I never use the Manuel setting. Once I get it cold enough in truck I bump up it to 65 and it’s still pretty high setting. 2 prob feels like someone blowing air on you

I’m not in the bay like OP where is gets 75 and they cry how hot it is.

Oh wow the price must have just gone up. I just paid $10 Less a week ago but I checked and you’re right it’s higher now on Amazon and Walmart. Hopefully it drops back again. That’s a big increase.
