Not sure if anyone else has this issue or has a solution but…if I don’t turn off the motion sensors in my 2024 Lightning Lariat, the alarm goes off a few minutes after walking away. It happens just about every time I forget to turn off the motion sensors. Going to take to the dealership but I’m not too hopeful they will have a solution.

Probably an insect in there flying around setting it off.

Make sure your doors are all closed and then make sure there isn't anything blocking the sensors inside. Weird one for sure.

Anyone know if the sensors are ultrasonic or infrared?

Thanks. I’m a maniac and the truck is immaculately clean and there’s nothing blocking for sure. Doors all closed as well. It’s a 2024 but I’m reading the 12v battery might be the cause.

Appreciate the suggestion but it’s 19°F here. No insects in or around.
Is it possible an insect got in the truck then went into diapause (similar to hibernation) then thawed enough after your interior warmed up?

Just trying to cover all reported bases as insect interference with the alarm is a known issue.

Mine did that in the middle of the night a week ago; no motion on my driveway camera, nothing on my dash cameras, just the alarm going off at 2am for no apparent reason. At least it’s not as frequent as yours.

Sometimes a sign of a weak 12v battery but then it would likely go off all the time a lot.

Any slight change in temperature will set IR sensors off.
Not sure what the threshold is on the Lightnings.

My security lights get set off by passing raccoons and foxes, the neighbor's cat, a skunk now and then, and one in a while a bird or large insect at night.

Btw, there are a lot of insects flying around even in winter according to my IR security cameras any way, yes, it was a surprise to me but seeing is believing.

Probably not enough warmth to set of your alarm though.
