Can anyone recommend and Android Auto dongle that will allow me to have My Q garage door opener app on the truck screen since the truck doesn't have a ability in garage door opener?

I don't know about a dongle but have you considered ordering a platinum visor and swapping your visor? There are a couple threads on here with part numbers.

A dongle wouldn't work. Save yourself the trouble with MyQ and their crappy software that last I checked doesn't work with Google Assistant. Get a meross, and configure a Google Assistant action to kick it off.

Android Auto is not a dongle. That is between your phone and the head unit. If myQ works in android auto it will work without any other adapter.

Be aware that you must pay a subscription in order to connect myQ to things like ifttt, etc. The cost of which is enough that you can buy a different, better, solution in a few months. If you just want to tap a button on the screen I dont know if that works.

Without routine based, or voice based, control I find myQ to be annoying for in the vehicle. A regular old garage door opener is FAR faster and easier. MyQ is great to have on the phone when just around the house, but in a permanent place like the truck a dedicated button is far superior

With Meross (and others) + Andrlid Auto/Google Assistant you can create shortcuts to GA actions. Far superior is a stretch, the button has to be within a certain range. It's nice to trigger my garage door open earlier so I'm not waiting while backing in. There are also more involved methods to have it trigger based on your vehicle approaching home A programmable home link button is more reliable though There are significantly less things to go wrong They both complement and mitigate each other's weaknesses

I have myQ enabled garage openers and use the app regularly on my phone. What's the issue with sticking with the app? I am assuming you have your phone mounted somewhere in the truck, could have google open the app on your phone via voice and then tap to open the door?

If you have lighted mirrors on the visors, you can add Homelink to the visor for under $50. Or, you can mount it in the center console.

I added MyQ to my garage door openers before they got rid of the link to Google Assistant, but I have Homelink in my 2022.

I completely agree they complement each other nicely. I love being able to open or close the door from anywhere, or see its status. I especially like that the thing I carry all the time (my phone) is always there to open the door.

Although the features are nice, when simply putting the truck in the garage simply reaching up and pushing the button is just much nicer than fumbling with apps abd screens.
Although, maybe voice would be even better, I have not tried that.

Ordering a replacement visor, or rear-view mirror with the home link buttons on it would be my recommendation. I went the rear-view mirror route and have been happy with it. If you're looking for an Android Auto device that will allow you to run any app on the screen, I've been using this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSSVXM4D, you can only have one device connected to the Ford Sync system at a time, so it's going to compete with your phone, which is a major drawback. (although you can connect your Android phone through it, so there are workarounds)
