A reoccurring issue with my 2023 XLT Lightning has become more frequent lately. At start up and occasionally while driving a series of messages show on the dashboard: "check brake system", "'service advance track", "1 pedal brake fault", along with a few others dealing with collision assist. And the brakes function differently--soft at the top and locking up at full pressure. Driving the truck for a bit and restarting always clears the issue. it never disappears by restarting without driving several miles. And it never disappears while driving. My Ford app shows the events under "alerts" as "anti-lock brake fault" and has occurred 30 times since July 1--as far back as it records the alerts.
I had the truck to the dealer last spring for the 10k plus check. I showed photos of the messages on the dashboard and described the issue. They drove it for a couple of days but the issue did not show up so the serviceman said there was nothing they could do. This is a fairly high volume Lightning dealer. But it is 100 miles away so I cannot just drive it in when the issue shows up. Seems to me with all the technology today, there should be a better way to check this out. I am planning on bringing the truck in this week and leaving it until something gets resolved.
In searching this site I didn't see much helpful other than one poster with a brake issue that may have involved a broken wire. Anyway, I would appreciate any help on this, or at least suggestions for another avenue with Ford to follow.
Thanks
