Battery coolant connector/fitting broken/snapped leaking

I’m not sure if this has been posted before but my brother recently bought a used 22 Platinum. Last weekend a dirt clod or rock or stick was likely thrown from his tire into the huge gap on the side of the battery skid plate (where the tire points when turned). He got a high motor temp warning and had to have it towed. It’s now at the dealer awaiting repair. After seeing this and investigating on my truck I made some plastic covers to shield that area as this will most likely be a multi thousand dollar repair that will be a fight as to who covers it along with completely stranding you if it ever happens.

Did you have to drill any holes for the zip ties? What is the approx dimension of that? I started contemplating a 3d printed protector but your solution looks very good and straightforward.

Thats a great idea - I'll probably try and zip tie something in there like you did.

If someone would make one that bolts right there to the 2 bolts that extends forward, they would make a mint selling these. Cheap insurance.

Two holes in the skid plate (per side) the size of the zip tie. Three holes in the plastic. The one at the top right uses a hole that is already there. It’s 14x13 with some tapers in spots. One side is flip of the other so when you get one just use that at the template for the other. The curvy edge slides under the battery so it can’t have a lose sharp edge come lose and poke a fitting.
