I did the first loaded tow with this trailer over the weekend. It worked great. I'm very pleased. The truck really handled it like it was nothing. The trailer was very stable and no sway.
I towed it empty to our cabin 128 miles away and then loaded it up with estimate of 2,000# of furniture and stuff for the return trip. I towed it back to new house starting at 55 mph and after realizing that I would have ample reserve at the destination I sped up to 65-67 mph. It did 1.3 mi/kwh unloaded and 1.2 loaded on the return trip. We had a tailwind on the way back. I selected a route where there were 2 DC Fast Charge stations at the 80 mile mark. I charged to 100% before leaving both ways and arrived with 18-25% at the trip ends.
The truck onboard scales showed just overweight (Exceeded the 1,591 Paylaod) until I moved a generator from the front of the trailer to the back and it went back to the green. I also loaded stuff in the truck bed. I don't know what the tongue weight was but probably more than 10%. Is there a way for the truck to display or calculate the tongue weight?
