Charging System Service Soon Message

Hello. I've had my Lariat since April and it has ran flawlessly, until today. Since this morning, every time I start the truck, I get a red message that says CHARGING SYSTEM SERVICE SOON appears in the dash cluster and it says push OK to clear message. The truck runs fine but I'm not sure why I'm getting this message. Has anyone seen this before?

Low(nearly dead) 12v battery maybe? Those have a high failure rate...

I had this message and brought it to the dealer. They said the 12V battery was fine, and then they reset the BMS per my request while still blaming the dash cam. I haven't seen the message since they reset the BMS. Your mileage may vary.

I had this message and brought it to the dealer. They said the 12V battery was fine, and then they reset the BMS per my request while still blaming the dash cam. I haven't seen the message since they reset the BMS. Your mileage may vary.

This is what a knowledgeable EV mechanic told me. He said, sometimes codes like this one will happen once and will reoccur upon start up. He said a lot of the time, clearing the code will stop it from popping up on startup. I have a ForScan tool that I've never used. Can you clear a code with the ForScan tool?

Yes you can clear the code but it came back until the dealer reset the BMS.

Been lurking here for a bit, was hoping I wouldn’t have to post but… here we are:

2023 Lariat ER
14,000 miles

Got in after work (roughly 73% SOC) to a lovely warning of:
‘Charging System Service Soon’
No messages or warning in FordPass.

Got home, turned it off - restarted, same error.
Still no messages or warning in FordPass.

Plugged into my level 2 charger - charged without issue and now, at 80%.

I searched this forum and the internet, the only thing I’m seeing is ICE truck posts.

I’m going to call the dealer tomorrow.

Has anyone seen this before on their Lightning?

This is a new error to me. I can't recall having seen this one before.
