They have plenty of openings for EV exhibitors, arrive between 9:30 and 10:30, stay till 4, then Clean Cruise Woodward. My wife and I will be there with the Mach-E and the Lightning.

This was a long, but good day. We arrived just before 10AM. Easily parked, on the lawn facing Woodward, but quite a distance away. Tall grass quickly got matted down.

Setup our 10x10 pop up, signs on vehicles, and settled into our chairs. From 11 to noon we had a decent amount of people, but then from noon to 1 it was dead, luckily it picked up from then to end of day. I guesstimate that about 100 or so people came through.

They had a handful of speakers throughout the day, and maybe 10 booths, and a few food trucks.

At 4 we formed a line escorted by the Royal Oak Police Department, lights blazing. Unfortunately, no one we drove by had a clue who we were or why we were driving with a police escort. No signage... And, despite saying they would run red lights, they changed that just before we left, so we got caught at lights and had to catchup. They did block traffic in 1 lane at each u-turn, but several times an ICE vehicle merged in and then didn't make the left on red despite a police car blocking traffic. I think half the cars dropped out during the first loop.

There were quite a few Mach-Es, but we were the only Lightning. 2 CyberTrucks, 2 Rivian, a bunch of Bolts all the same color. DTE (electric utility) had a Ride and Drive event there, they had Mach-Es (including a Rally with the gray wheels instead of those awful white ones), Lightning, some Jeeps (they were in the Jeep dealership's parking lot). Interestingly, you had to take a breathalyzer to drive one.

They had people voting with chips for the best of show, which was pretty loose and many didn't even both voting. The electric school bus got 3rd place, a Cybertruck with a graphic got 2nd, and a Tesla sedan (maybe a Y) won. A gently chided a lady with 2 kids for voting for the Rivian when her kid had slimed the Mach-E door... Had a few deep conversations with people way more into the tech than I am including a scientist that road his bike over and looked 80 who said some pretty weird stuff.

Of all the EV events we have been to, this ranked in the top 2 for the ability to talk to non-owners. Number one was in O_hio in Brewdog Brewery's parking lot, despite a very long drive.

After it was done, we headed home via Ford's Garage in Novi, where at 5:30 we had to wait for a table, although only 10 minutes. Pretty loud, but decent beer selection and good burgers.

I had charged both vehicles to 100% overnight via 6amps to slowly fill up, and hooked up CarScanner to record battery SOH. Both had gone UP from the last reading (which I have to go find). Mach-E, over 3 years old, was 96.5% with 87.31kWh available. Lightning, over 3 years old (with some arrays replaced) was 100%, with 131.07kWh available. Despite 12v being replaced in May, the tech didn't reset the BMS...

Rarely do we drive any distance with both vehicles together. We drove 103 miles. Both vehicles used the exact same % of battery, returning with 68% charge. So the Mach-E got approximately 3.67 miles per kWh (28kWh), including the 2 slow loops on Woodward. The Lightning got 2.45 miles per kWh (42kWh). It used 50% more energy including running for 6 hours during the event to power a fan and light (and my ventilated seat before I noticed I left it on). I often use 40% as my guide.

Charging the Mach-E from 89 to 100% took 14.16kWh, about 5kWh of which was balancing the cells. The Lightning charged from 89 to 100% also, using 23.7kWh, about 9kWh of which was balancing the cells.

Nice report, tip for police escorted parades where they will allow participants to follow through traffic signals, all the rider (drivers) need to keep a tight formation, do not allow large gaps that would entice intervening traffic to cut-in.

I've been on a number of motorcycle runs where that has happened .

They told the organizer that they WOULD have us go through signals. Then, minutes before we started, they said no. They stopped all the traffic on Woodward to start us out. Lead car, with a Supervisor that scooted ahead and blocked one lane for our Michigan left (u-turns) at each end. 2 other cars that just drove along... Then one of them ran his lights, but he was a lane over from us. Didn't make much sense, and they could have stopped at a red in the front, then when the light changed had one car go and block the intersection while we went through, it would have been no more than one light cycle.

But again, no one knew what the hell was going on that wasn't in the line of cars. "What are those cars doing?" They would have had no idea they were even EVs.
