I just got everything installed and finished calibration and noticed that I have a lot of ping ponging going on at city speeds. I have it perfectly centered on my windshield. Is there a specific model that handles lane centering better. Or do I need to change some other Blue Pilot settings?

On a separate issue.....Since installing the Comma 4, I have subwoofer thumping/feedback going on when the parking assist beeps. Has anyone else dealt with that?

We need a little bit more information. Are you running blue pilot? 7. If you are, have you switched to angle? Have you done the angle tuning as described in AJ's video? What vehicle are you driving etc

Yes, BP 7, I have switched to angle, and it’s a 23 F-150 Lightning Lariat. Are you referring to the Blue Pilot 7.0 Lateral Tuning video?

Yes, after tuning for the 15 mph, and the 70 mph, And for me using the SC model. I don`t have any noticeable ping ponging. Remember it takes 20 minutes of driving after model changes, etc. for the system to learn.

Thank you for your help. The ping ponging seems to be greatly reduced now but I’m noticing it’ll hug the edges more closely than I was used to with BlueCruise. It will also beep and cut out on sharper turns on the highway. Can these be resolved with more fine tuning? Or are these just limitations of the current software?

FWIW, SCM has been the best for me as well. It does hug the right slightly more.

If you want perfect center, I'd switch to Curvature control and run WD-40 with an offset.

Cutting out on sharp curves is not a limit of the software, i'ts a safety limit inside the Ford rack and pinion. It will take sharper curves if you slow down, as the safety limits are speed dependant.

That makes sense. I was doing the 70 mph lateral tuning on a somewhat curvy expressway and noticed it would beep and understeer outside the lane. It would hug pretty close on some more gradual turns too so just wanting to see what other tweaks I can make to keep it more centered.

bp-dev is our developmental branch. It has additional centering and offset adjustment logic You can test it out, but bp-dev can be buggy. All features there will eventually move into bp-7.0 or bp-7.1

Are you traveling faster then the rated curve speed for the sharp highway turns?
I'm using angle. Low speed @ 1 high spd @ .96 using SC Model. What are your angle settings?
Do you have any truck modifications? Tires, Lift kits, etc.
I spent a couple hours fine tuning the angle settings. So yes more fine tuning may be helpful.

I may have been as I had it on 70 mph for the high speed lateral tuning. I’m at 1.0 for low speed and .95 for high speed. No modifications.

I have a winding stretch of highway that is rated at 70mph on curves. it is perfect for high speed tuning. Your #s and mine are almost identical. sounds like your on the right track.

Should this be selected for the typical user? I know Ford’s ACC is recommended and I am not using the experimental mode or alpha long but I noticed that this is unchecked by default.
