Does anyone know how to completely remove the center console rear cup holders and associated bulk?

I would like to remove this piece so that it's easier to fit a mattress in the back on top the seats for an upcoming trip. Has anyone done it or know how it's done? Thanks!

Part of the console itself, and is the part of the console that the armrest hinge attaches to.

I'd go with "Plan B" on the size of the mattress rather than removing anything.

I saw a thread here recently where someone was discussing how they have camped in their truck and showed pics of their setup. I'd do a search on that and check it out. I don't remember any mention of having to mess with the console.
