If made well, an EV should be pretty much maintenance free, so they have to make some after sale money somehow, and it's always in parts it seems.That is all kindof funny to be honest. What is interesting is that this characteristic is the same for the ICE f-150s as well, so it can vary by trim but generally the higher spec trims have it as standard equipment. With so many of these trucks being made I agree with you that the cost should be lower.
Some estimate that buying all the parts for a car would cost about 10 times what you'd pay for the car already assembled. I think that is a conservative estimate!
