Anyone purchased this and having problems like me?
I got it installed yesterday and I’m bouncing like one of those bouncing lowriders. When you check the part number it’s exactly the same they offer for ER and SR but on the instructions it says “Extended Range”. I was wondering maybe the level of the shocks change when it’s SR, it is almost undriveable, bouncing like crazy. Imagine you can’t even drink coffee without spilling it. I’m super unhappy.
I asked this question to the place I bought my Stage 1 from, I was worried that I would receive something incorrect (I'm ER).

This was their response: "Eibach uses the same part number for the SR and ER but they advertise different expected lift heights due to the weight difference."

Did you change tires or using the same as before lifting?

Did you verify clip placement with installers? There are additional clip settings on the front shocks/struts that say for "use for extra weight only".

I also read a post somewhere here or Gen14, where the installer placed the clip in the wrong orientation (top/bottom transposed). If that happened to your situation, it would be where the pic below shows "do not use".

Just throwing out some ideas.

Thank you very much for your answer, I appreciate it a lot.

I didn’t change the tires, everything is the same.

We suspected the same thing. First I thought it was a marketing trick that they use the same part for both of them. Everything is installed according to the instructions. But the instructions are for ER and there is no such thing for SR. That made us wonder. We tried to contact Eibach to have an answer, nothing, yet. Because we used the bottom for all, which is 2.9 and 0.3.

Is it flat, yes. But it is a nightmare to drive it right now. I wanted to do everything according to the instructions in case I want to return them back.

11 months with my truck and I have almost 18k miles on it, that’s how much I love driving it. But for the first time I wanted to get my wife’s Model Y for groceries. That’s how bad it is right now now. And imagine we will have a road trip for camping on 4th; I can live with it for gods sake, but I can’t get my wife deal with it. Happy wife, happy truck owner.

I’m going to try to have an answer from Eibach, or I will have to go back to the stocks. Let’s see how it goes.

PS: my 3 year old daughter loved it, in the middle of the back on a car seat. I believe it’s kind of a roller coaster for her right now. ??‍♂

OK no tire changes, I had assumed maybe a new E rated tire, which could be jarring, coming from stock.

You didn't mention it but alignment was done after lift, correct?

Is the "bad ride" all over or feel more front than back?

"No tire change" is not 100% correct actually. I have changed them as you can see in my profile picture.
But the only change between before/after eibach installation is the eibach kit itself. That's why I'm comparing it with what I had 2 days ago.

Alignment is done, I have no issues with that side. Straight steering wheel, no vibrations etc. The only and the biggest issue is the bouncing.

I believe what you said is explaining my problem: This was their response: "Eibach uses the same part number for the SR and ER but they advertise different expected lift heights due to the weight difference."

Basically I'm using the one on the bottom level accroding to the instructions (let's say strongest). Since it's not heavy as an ER, I guess I'm not even using the shocks as I am supposed to, that's why it's not absorbing anything. That means I'm literally driving on the springs. Which is how I feel while I'm driving. Front side starts bouncing on a very little thing, even on a brand new asphalt. Maybe rear is the same as well but frankly speaking I'm not able to understand it since front does not allow you to understand anything else.

Again I'm not an expert, this is my first truck. I hope we can solve this. I hope Eibach says "oh that was a mistake, here is the instructions for SR, you should be using the top 2 rings" kind of thing and I can go back loving my truck.

First time in 11 months, I hated the ride to work in the morning.

I get it, feeling sorry for your woes. You're bummed out after spending all that money.

Are your tires E rated by chance? I think you would feel this more after the firmer suspension compnents were installed. Did you only have new tires 2 days before suspension work?

I believe the bottom is "least strongest" if you will and the softest setting. If one chooses the "stronger" setting on a stock vehicle load, it would be stiffer/firmer.

I think Eibach is pretty engaging after two direct calls I had with them...so I think they would be willing to confirm the install with your shop.

The only other thing I could think of other than E rated tires would be the front upper control arms if they weren't swapped for aftermarket. I added them at time of install and again, I'm ER but my kit is awesome. Firmer than stock but nowhere near what you're describing as a problem.
