Emergency Tow fails to initialize

I was testing the emergency tow setting in the vehicle settings and I cannot get it to work. Each time I try, it simply says “Initialization Cancelled”. I followed the steps in the manual. Truck was off, turned it on in accessory mode, applied the parking brake, then tried emergency tow and got the error. It keeps doing this.
