Good morning. On my recently bot Flash it says I have Alexa. When trying to use it I have problems with a radio station app I listen to from the Pacific NW. Seems like Alexa only works for that station when I have it on with my phone with Android auto connected then I end up with both running or no sound at all till I mess with the phone for a while. I have had to tell Alexa to Enable the radio station app more than once as she seems to forget. I would like to download the radio station app into the lightning either through alexa or android auto but no success. Any ideas?

Further research on the Ford app under connected services says I have a free years subscription that includes Amazon music or Spotify. So far there are no instructions on how to use it. I am an Amazon Prime member but not a member of Amazon music or Spotify except the free versions of spotify and prime. Any ideas on how to access them?

Looks like the free subscription to premium connectivity runs out on 9-30-2026 then $10 a month. Just like the Sirius app that runs out on 12-31-2025, I can sign up for the music part of alone for $10 a month. If I can download the app then I wouldn't need either of them. If I just have to play it by bluetooth from the phone then so be it but I hope there is something I can do. Thanks.

So far I haven't called them yet but I was prompted to download the basic version of spotify which I did. Then it offered an email to link it to alexa. I kept pushing the button but not sure it linked or not. However I am running spotify on my lightning and it automatically comes on when I start the vehicle. It shows up in the android auto screen under my google maps navigation that comes from my phone with satelite view in android auto. The place where it shows up has a play and pause button and shows the name of the song being played.

I was trying to start spotify with alexa but really don't know if alexa started it or if spotify is just running through bluetooth without using alexa and premium connectivity. At some point I will stop it and try to restart it and see what happens.

That said I still want to run other online radio apps through alexa and load them into the system. If I am just doing this through bluetooth with the phone then this premium connectivity may be worthless.

Regarding spotify and the free version: I'm not too impressed with the choice of music that it lets me make and it seems to pick out a bunch of crap it would rather play.

I'll keep plugging away here.

It's likely porting via bluetooth from the music apps on your phone.

IMHO, the connectivity feature is not worth the money, when I subscribed to it briefly, it enabled seamless use of the YouTube Sync app under the entertainment tab, but I now use a work around of using my phone mobile hotspot to enable that function.

It also makes the karaoke Sync app functional seamlessly, but I have zero compunction to use it.
