Bit of a story here, so buckle in.
For reference I have a 2022 Platinum from one of the first rounds of trucks built.
About 2 years into owning the truck I started to notice that the black "suede" material that is used as an accent color was bleeding through the white leather on my Platinum truck (the black and white interior). See photos of the offending bleeding. I've posted one of a front seat and one of a rear seat. I took it to my local Ford dealer and they needed to have a detailer make sure it wasn't some sort of "transfer" from my clothing. Mind you this was happening on all 4 seats at every corner where the black suede and white leather overlapped. I have had a person in the passenger seat a handful of times and in the rear seats even less.
My truck is now almost 3 years old (will be in June) and has 7400 miles on it - so it's not like it's been used and abused. This thing is pampered. I have never had any liquid on the seats other than a damp cloth to wipe them down when I wash the truck. Well, needless to say, the detailer confirmed it was not transfer. So the dealership initiated a warranty request with Ford and after about 2 weeks, the decision came back that Ford would cover the entire leather interior and replace it. This was in August of last year.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, and my interior has finally been replaced (it took a while because, ironically, the first two sets of leather that arrived at the dealership had the same issue happening to them - having never been installed on a truck!). At long last a good set of leather came in and the dealership performed the install. The leather looks perfect! I just wanted to post a good story here because I am super thrilled that my dealership went to bat on this issue for me and got a resolution. If you're in the PNW, Bowen Scarff Ford is top notch.
