FordPass v5.21.0 iOS & Android

HAS anyone been able to do a "comfort start" with the FP widget on the lock screen? mine just opens the FP app and then i'd have to tap on the "fan" icon to initiate "comfort start". the widget on the the control center works, i am yet to try the action button.

also, what "map that auto-displays"? is feature on the FP app itself? i do not see it.

I think you are using the wrong widget. The widget you would have to use would replace the flashlight or camera at the bottom of the Lock Screen.

Yeah the widget remains unchanged with this update. But you can now put lock, unlock and or remote start control buttons on the Lock Screen (only two controls allowed at the bottom) or on the control panel that you pull down on when the phone is unlocked.

What he said... It's a "control" not a widget. Now to get Siri to actually recognize and start car by voice for the win.

You have to tap and hold the widget. If you just tap it takes you to the FordPass app.

Go to your lock screen, hold tap, edit the custom lock screen you have, if you already have two controls, you will need to delete one of them. Add a control, look for ford, add start, fin.

But how do you do that? If I'm on the lock screen and hold it, all I get is a message to unlock to edit, but if I unlock, I don't have the lock screen.
Note I am NOT an Apple guy - I substantially dislike this forced on me work phone...

Does not work on my iPhone 13 with iOS 18.5. If I hold on the lock screen, all I get is a message "Unlock to Edit" above the time display. If I unlock, I don't have the lock screen...

I wonder if your work has your phone locked down.

Another method is you can go into settings\wallpaper and click ’customize’ on the lock screen.

That is a very good possibility. There are known to be several things that work has locked down.

However your settings > wallpaper method did work.

I may be missing something but my Ford pass app has not yet updated or is showing an update pending for the 5.21 version. Can someone please educate me on how to?

Go into the App Store and search for the ford pass app. Instead of clicking "open" click on the app title, and the button should read "update". Hope that works!
