Just stepped through the process in the app ( even though my trial doesn’t expire until next year) and it offers no discount, same $80.00 price as usual. Any ideas?

Same. Mine does not expire until Aug. 2027 but I also checked and it’s showing $79 for the year.

Just in case the offer is for those not on auto-renew, I turned off auto-renewal. You actually have to "cancel the service", but it just cancels the renewal. Services screen now shows as available for renewal.
