Hello all,

I am on a road trip with my family and the audio in the truck just stopped working. The vol power button does nothing.

2022 Lariat extended range

So far I have tried turning the truck off and on, soft rebooting Sync, disconnecting the 12v battery, and pulling and replacing fuses 28 and 32 and nothing helped.

I may have also lost hands free blue cruise, but I am not sure on that. May have just been a bad section of road. All alerts and "dings" are coming through the gauge cluster speaker.

Any ideas of anything else to try, or are we stuck with no music for our 12 hour drive home!

Got your message, but I'll post the response here for the sake of the info being out there. It does not seem like your issue will be fixed by a simple reset; not sure.....maybe @Jesse-Infotainment can chime in. The truck is reporting these codes relevant to your issue:

Hard to say if the DSP itself took a crap or if the APIM is the issue, but seems like the APIM itself has an issue.

When all else fails... disconnecting the negative from the 12v battery for a minute or so often clears things up.

Edit: i see you tried this already after rereading more carefully

Well, I only did a 20 second (or so) disconnect. I can certainly try a longer one.

You would need to do it for 20 minutes to do a true hard reset, but I don't think it'll help in your case. It won't hurt to try though.

Whelp, the 20 minute disconnect didn't do anything.

I can also confirm that the hands free part of blue cruise is not activating and that "auto time update" will not stay set for the clock. No idea if that is related or not.

He mentioned that he tried checking that fuse earlier up in the thread. I'll message you the VIN so you can take a look, if you want.

Not sure if this would affect BC. Just checked and your subscription says it is active and config seems to be correct. Not seeing an codes reported with any of the ADAS modules. Very strange indeed. I sent the VIN to Jesse. Hopefully he has some time to look a bit deeper than I can.

Probably the APIM, seems like Ford doesn't want to use one that's worth a damn. They've had constant issues with APIM's on all models for years. An ESP is in my future if I decide to keep the truck that much is certain.
