Exploration: someone on another forum had their beloved EV Fiat 500e towed ~400 miles to have the battery pack replaced (with a salvage pack), and they are now planning to go drive it home. This doesn't sound like much fun to me because the 500e has about 70 miles of range or less at highway speeds and only has 240V 6KW charging, so I figure it'll take at least 18 hours of just charging. The trip is from Bakersfield to Marysville in CA. I think the sensible thing is to get a U-Haul trailer and tow it, and as Lightning owners I think that's what any of us would do. If the route was going by my place (it's not, so easy for me to say) I wouldn't mind towing "a leg" just to help out. So, I thought I'd post on here to see if anyone else that is along the route in CA felt similarly. This person doesn't know I'm asking and I don't know if there are timing constraints or if the person would accept the help if offered. I just wanted to ask here to see if it was even an option. (I'd think organizing for this weekend makes the most sense.) Thanks!

I would be interested, but in the wrong neighborhood - I'm in eastern Los Angeles county.

Good luck with the effort. I agree with the really slow charging and short range of the Fiat, driving that would be horrible.
