yeah except I never said any of that. I replied to a very specific sentiment that made no mention of any of that crap. You bought a product. 3 years later the product was discontinued (for whatever reason). You've been happy with that product, and the company promises to support it for 10 years. However, you're miffed that no one else will be able to buy that specific product in the future. And that makes you think that particular company doesn't deserve to have you as a customer!?
I, OTOH refuse to buy from any company ever affiliated with Chrysler (yes, including Mercedes). Not because they discontinued some car I owned (and they have), but because their quality is craptacular. 3 Chryslers that cost me tons to repair them is enough.
The fact that VW owns Scout is EXACTLY why I would never consider buying one. Dieselgate. "F the customers, and the environment". Intentionally engineering vehicles to falsify emissions testing. You forgot the future Scout motors, owned by its parents company VW. Perhaps you should also not use EA chargers too... The rabbit hole is deep.
I believe they made a major investment in Rivian also. The fact that VW owns Scout is EXACTLY why I would never consider buying one. Dieselgate. "F the customers, and the environment". Intentionally engineering vehicles to falsify emissions testing.
Per ChatGPT...I believe they made a major investment in Rivian also.
While I don't disagree with your point as such, VW is only removing it in the US, for 2026, not the same as canceling it - at least for now.VW is pulling the plug on ID Buzz, you must forgo buying any VW, Porsche, Slate, Bentley.
I wasn't trying to argue or call you out. I'm totally in agreement. I wouldn't use the 1000kw EA credit that came with our EV6 or the 250kw that came with the lightning until I could use it in my States Evolve NY network, setup and paid with the fine money.Yeah, and? You really think I have a problem NOT buying from a brand that I don't feel deserves me as a customer? There is some late stage capitalism sentiment going on in this thread
Been there done that. I may just be a worker bee in Society but my earned dollar is mine to spend how I want and in principle will do my best never to support the VW group. Not even rivian as they are 12+% owned by the VW group. The fact that VW owns Scout is EXACTLY why I would never consider buying one. Dieselgate. "F the customers, and the environment". Intentionally engineering vehicles to falsify emissions testing.
You said: but now it will be the last Fords we own, not going to allow another rug pullyeah except I never said any of that. I replied to a very specific sentiment that made no mention of any of that crap.
Maybe slow down on running to defend a billion dollar corp long enough to read my entire message and the context before replying.
Me either, but I expect after 8-10 years when I am ready to replace the Lightning, there will be new, better options, likely including Ford.I don't want an ICE vehicle, even an EREV. I guess I'll be going elsewhere for my next truck.
So, it’s Hoovie’s fault?Ford owes us nothing, we gave them our money for a product and they just said "ope....we'll just sweep this one under the rug"
Until they decide to pull the plug on the Mach-E and eventually can the "UEV" platform, they'll still try to pump stuff out. We did moan on this same forum about the high cost of entry before they were having incentives thrown at them left and right, so we did it to ourselves.
Unfortunately the early reviews of social media personalities purposely setting towing tests up for failure and certain articles being made with clickbait titles to grab attention of the naysayers seems to have done it's job. Seems like it's only the Lightning being called junk, while I've not seen the same disdain for Rivian's or the GM offerings.
What isn't his fault lol.So, it’s Hoovie’s fault?
So, no Mercedes eitherThe fact that VW owns Scout is EXACTLY why I would never consider buying one. Dieselgate. "F the customers, and the environment". Intentionally engineering vehicles to falsify emissions testing.
