When I have issues with wifi Hotspot, since I don't know which fuse to pull and it's difficult to find, I cycle 12v volts (remove 12v battery terminal and wait for 1min, and put it back)

When my dash screen frozen, or the number is stuck, I cycle 12v

When bluecruise refuse to work, even turn on or off truck multiple times, I cycle 12v

When I keep getting trailer disconnected message and brake controller stop working (already replaced with a new one under warranty), I cycle 12v

Of course, when I should get the update that I didn't have, I cycle 12v and put 12v charger overnight and hope it works

Now I am thinking should I install a switch there so that I can cycle 12v easier

Or should I get the 12v bms sensor replaced first?

I suggest getting the BMS sensor replaced first. I just charged my HV battery, checked the 12 volt SOC, and found it at 100%. I get consistently higher 12 volt SOC after the BMS sensor was replaced.

If that does not work, I have attached an idea for dash switches. You could have a switch for each issue.

Considering the first step in fixing just about any technology is rebooting, and that all vehicles, EV or not are loaded with computers and software, you'd think they'd all have some kind of switches to cycle the power or trigger a reboot.

I've rebooted my Sync from time to time by holding the buttons right skip and power at the same time, and it's solved some problems with things like AirPlay not connecting or in one particular case, the entire screen went black.

This solves most sync glitches without the more risky 12v reset which if done at the wrong time during an update it can brick a module.

Note, many smaller updates are applied 10-15 minutes after start and can cause glitches while the update is in progress.
