Just did weekend road trip in SR. Approx 350 miles each way. Two adults,, three kids and dog. Frunk and bed were full. Averaged between 2.0-2.1 mi/kwhr when 65 and under. Anything 65-75, i averaged 1.8. was not happy when my range said 190 afer charging, next charger was 110 miles away. So I'd expect to arrive with somewhere around 80 miles left. Nope, had 30. So remember when travelling highway, be conservative with your stops because the number on a dash is just an educated guess.

But overall after 1400 miles, trip meter shows avg 2.3 mi/kwhr. Thats about 70% city, 30% highway.

1.8-2.1 on highways doing 75-80mph(ish).

2.3-2.5 on suburban 40mph(ish) roads.

Based on my 80% charging for daily use, I imagine I can go 160 miles under most mixed use scenarios in my XLT SR.

My longest trip to date without a charge was 120 miles. I charged up to 95% just before leaving, as I wasn't sure I'd be making pit stops. I got back home at 36% charge, mostly highway driving. When I parked a notice said pro power was limited due to state of charge.

Overall I don't think I'll ever run into range issues. My Model 3 is my distance driver, if I decide to leave town. The Lightning can get me to any adjoining city and back without much issue, which is all I'm looking for.

After just under 1,500 miles, the average energy usage is 2.7 miles per kilowatt hour. When on I-95 or other interstates in northern Virginia, my average speed is 55 - 60 mph, even if the speed limit is 70 mph. My commute to work involves about 24 miles of highway one way and I go in during the off hours or use the hot lanes when available.

2.7 is very good...but of course, you are conscientious about speed to maximize range. THIS is what has to happen if someone is worried about not having enough range when traveling....SLOW down, take slower back roads, etc.

Was there any type of weather affecting the range? Rain? Wind? Temperature? Elevation gain? Even loaded down I'd expect well over 2.0-2.1 at 65mph travel speed.

Which brings me to my eternal EV question, why isn't there an accurate energy gauge showing available remaining kilowatt hours?

Guess-0-meters are fine, but there is certainly must be an ability to display remaining available kWh.

It was perfect weather conditions. A lot of up and down terrain on second leg. I generalizes my ranges a bit.. 66, 67 still ok but u can tell a slight hit over a bit of range...68,69 even bigger, 70 was a more drastic drop.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't remaining battery percentage essentially remaining kWh?

Guess-o-meters are just range remaining which doesn't take into account potential weather, speed, elevation, road conditions...etc.

2,100 miles on my Pro. Averaging 2.2 miles per kWh. I would guess my driving has been a 50/50 split and when I drive on the highway I usually set the cruise between 65-70. In town I usually floor it at every chance I get. 🤣🤣🤣

131 kWh is the long range. Therefore 1% is equal to 1.31 kWh. 4600 miles and I am averaging 2.3 kWh.

Drove from the Columbia, MD area to Deep Creek Lake in Western, MD. 174ish miles total. Average speed was 70 mph, outside temp was about 75 degrees. The route is over a series of inclines and declines. I had 1.8 mi/kWh which would give me a total range of about 236mi on a full charge.

SR Lariat: 260-270 miles per charge - actually get more in real driving due to urban bumper to bumper traffic and speeds under 50MPH.
