My Lightning was vandalized!

Didn't watch the video so maybe you covered it. Beside EV vandals (which there absolutely are), there are also anti truck/big SUV idiots. Could be they thought they were disabling a big ole gasser.

My theories in order of likelihood would be gas thief mistook it for a gas F150 and got coolant instead, EV hate, catalytic converter thief annoyed and cut it, someone really hates my YouTube content and stalked me to the Ferry and waited for me to walk away from the truck

I worked in the Estuary area for almost 20 years. During daylight, there are mostly only the roving opportunistic thieves with Bluetooth sniffers looking for unattended electronics. At night things get significantly more interesting. Lots of people living in the margins doing what they need to do to survive.

no coolant that we noticed on the ground but we left at 1030 at night on a 90 degree day so we guessed it evaporated or is in their gas can and hopefully ended up in their tank which would be awesome Karma.

if it had been road debris the impact I think would have had to be pretty significant and at high speed which we would have heard and would have occurred in that last few miles before arriving and we would have seen it overheat which we didn’t until 2 miles in on the trip home. It’s all a guess unfortunately and the dash cam only faces forward and has power when the truck is on. Simon from Truck’d Up EVs has a good 360 set up for his but it’s pretty involved and he had to also install a larger battery to get it to work with the truck off and not drain the 12v significantly over time.

I would have expected at least a stain on the asphalt after the leak, but rain could wash it away.
Yes 360 would be involved, I just use a cam with forward and backward facing cameras.
I leave the truck on in parking lots with every off I can turn off, and can use the 'camp-ground drive-in movie' mode I tweaked with FORscan:

Barely uses any juice, and keeps the dash cams on. Might catch someone in the view, or the sound of the truck being on might discourage them?

Overnight I'm at home parked in a driveway with plenty of house security cams.

I used to park on the street until a hit-and-run driver trashed my drive-side mirror - insurance covered it 100% because he was uninsured and we located him from the security camera pics and the general contractor next door he was working for.

A shame there are so many jerks on planet earth, for sure!

Yeah I do have the silent mode enabled in my case for the drive in movies with the kids. Martin from Martin Rebuilds got me hooked up with that and I do love it!
