Ok, thanks! Mine is more of a squeak sound when I press the pedal.

I had bad luck with katzkin leather on my last truck so I was curious about other brands. I might do something different on this one. Got any pics of yours?

First decent length road trip. 195 miles or so each way, out and back same day

Started from home with 100% charge, which was only 248 miles due to it being 30° (I guess).

Got a little range anxiety 48 miles from destination with 58 miles range remaining. No charging options in that last 48 miles so opted to be safe. Charges up to 100 miles range and proceeded to destination.

After my meeting, found an EA charger close and charged up from 25 to 80% (took 55 mins, longer than i would have hoped). Made it home with 19% remaining.

all in all not too bad.

You added 90+ minutes to your day on a trip almost any ICE vehicle would have made without stopping. I'm pro -EV... but I'm also pro-Time.

Well…not really. The truck i had prior was a 2011 Land Cruiser. Got 12mpg. Would have required me to stop twice on this trip.

So i probably added half an hour to 45 mins yes. Grabbed a coffee. Didn’t notice.

in general though i agree. Gas would’ve been easier. But i take so few of these trips i wont mind the stops.

Now you're finally part of the Lightning owners club.

Enjoy a mediocre dealer experience, the possibility of a rental car, a new shifter/battery module/or computer, and not having your vehicle for between 2 days and a month.

Oh, yeah then you're getting the full experience. I gave up after the 3rd time.

Damn, you're having the bad luck. I have 5700 miles on my flash with zero issues so far (not counting a tire that was hit by something flying across the freeway).

Hope that gets resolved for you.

I have also seen that warning one time and it was after an OTA and I have never seen it since. I have almost 70,000 on my 2023 Lariat ER and the only real issue I have experienced was with the Telemetics Communications Unit that would cause FordPass connectivity issues - but Ford replaced that and it’s been good since.

Hopefully it’s just a shifter. Happened to me recently.
