Onboard Air-Arb Brushless Single Compressor Install

One feature I missed from my Rivian R1T was the on board air compressor. After having the frunk tub out on several occasions, I noticed a perfect spot for it on the drivers side of the 12v battery. At least on my PRO SR. I'm not sure if the higher end trims have something occupying that location. Shout out to @4x4TruckLEDs.com . I was able to source the compressor and everything needed for the install from his site at great prices and fast shipping. I ended up going with the new ARB Single Brushless compressor. The double won't fit in the location I picked and honestly I don't need that much output. The new brushless units put out a lot more air than the older units. Link to the compressor below, it's an absolute beast. His site also has the fittings and hoses I used for the install. I ended up wiring it up to my upfitter switch 6, but it came with a switch if you don't have an upfitter set up. I mounted a quick disconnect on the passenger side of the frunk in the square recess on top(removable panel). Ran a steel braded line from that to the compressor. The ARB accessory hose reaches from that spot easily to all four tires and the bed. Any questions let me know, super happy with the set up.

The single fits in there nicely. We DO have a twin air compressor mount for the truck bed. It won't work with the new brushless (at least, we've not tested it yet... it MIGHT but we've yet to test it with our bracket).

The issue with the new Brushless and our truck bed kit is that that new brushless uses a different harness. Eventually we will make a power extension harness for this but for now, nothing.

But that single... nice next to the battery. Lots of room in there actually for things like this. I had a switch panel system next to my battery.

That is a really clean install, well done.

This will work on any truck without Max tow. The Max tow will have a second condenser there. Sucks for those folks (myself included) otherwise this invokes jealousy and envy from me!

Thank you! Learn something new everyday. Indeed I do not have max tow, wanted it but the dealer didn't option any that were on the lot. I guess one good thing came from missing it.

Check out this post. I believe trucks with Max Tow just have the compressor on the other side. You might be able to squeeze the single in on the left of the battery.
