I received 22,000 points from the ford pass rewards upon purchasing the lightning. I received the points several days later on my ford pass app. I contacted my dealership’s parts dept and was able to use the points for a set of all weather floor liner tray for the front and rear. The points were worth $110 so I paid the difference with CC. Ford accessories is offering 20% off till 6/30/22.

Yes on the 22k points. No I paid the difference with a regular cc. I downloaded the ford pass app before going to the dealership and the sales person uploaded my phone to the lightning and told me the points will appear on the ford pass rewards and I can use it for other things such as service, tires, etc. I wanted to used the 22k points because it’s only good for a year.

That's interesting. You get 42000 points for an ICE f150 purchase.

Nope.

You also get 250 free kWh of charging at Electrify America. $107.50 plus tax value.

anything you can pay for at your dealer, basically. I've used them to help pay for my 10K service on my Mach-E and for recent scheduled maintenance on the gf's C-Max. The dealer just runs it as a payment entry in their point-of-sale from what I can tell.

That’s great! I had 68,000 points worth over $300 and used towards my tonneau cover!

Anyone get the Ford Pass VISA card from FNBO to get more points?

Has anyone used the card to put a down on a Ford ?

Is it worth applying for their bonus?

Actually, this is very dealer-dependent. A dealer has 4 areas you could possibly use points.

1) New car purchase
2) Service work payment
3) Body shop payment
4) Parts purchase

Dealerships cannot decide on #1, Ford determines that. However, they CAN determine if they will take points for things like their in-house body shop.

And, while they may take your points for a parts purchase, BUYER BEWARE. Many dealerships sell online for less than they sell at retail. In fact, many dealerships have multiple online ports, for example one through parts.ford.com, and one under their own domain name with different pricing (their own domain name likely cheaper). They MAY only take the FordPass points at the counter on a retail purchase (at full price). My dealership is like this, but I got the GM to override it for me and let me buy at the internet price.

Here's a pricing example:

Floor mats for Mach-E, MSRP of $185.00 at parts counter.
Price on parts.ford.com at my dealership - $155.40.
Price on my dealership's parts website - $145.04.

The dealership knows of the price differences between parts.ford.com and their website, it's to cover what they have to pay Ford.

So while it may be great to use points for a $185 purchase, I'd rather pay $145.04 and use my points on something else, or fight to get them to take the points for the $145.04 purchase.
