I would gladly give up rear back seat space for a longer bed. Everything else about the bed is fine. I especially like the step that pulls out of the tailgate.

Agree about a longer bed, though that can be lived with...for me the 'most annoying' thing is the height of the bed.

That make it harder to load and unload things and makes my motorcycle ramp quite a bit steeper than it was with my Ford Ranger.

I agree that the bed height is an issue. Would love a lower height, and looking at my lowering options

Had a 6.5 foot bed for ten years, with an F-150 SuperCab. Would have purchased my Lightning the same way given the choice. 5.5' is too small. Don't need full backseat.

The Lightning successfully replaces a minivan and 4 door 8 ft bed truck. I could not economically drive the old truck as a daily driver, hence the minivan. The Lightning does everything really well but I really miss the 8 ft bed. Just another 6 inches or foot would be so nice. Two pallets of anything just barely fit. Whereas with an 8 ft bed I could close the tailgate. For me, the Lightning back seat is just a really big tool box. I would have been willing to give up 6 inches for a bigger bed. (A 6 ft step ladder won’t even lay flat on the floor.)

Most annoying about the bed is hands down, not enough of it. I traded in a 7 passenger Explorer because I needed a cargo hauler, not a people hauler.

No such thing as a Lightning super cab so I'm back in a people hauler.

One of my biggest gripes is using the bed and it always being dirty. I live on a gravel road and would love a single piece fully connected bed and tailgate mat that keeps dirt out and allows for easy loading. Bonus points if it came with seals for the tailgate to keep dust from entering through the sides.

2023 lariat Lightning in Carolina

I would like a bed mat that could cover the tailgate as well once folded down or up. I have hauled multiple loose items and cringe when the debris falls between the tailgate and truck bed hinge. Bonus points if you could roll the mat outward to help dump cargo.

On a side note can you all make a spare tire cover? Maybe with a piece of hard plastic? I have a cover over mine now but it always tends to sag. I know it doesn't provide a major boost to range but should help with the overall aero of the truck to prevent air from catching the spare and pulling drag.
