Interesting experience that sounds sadly familiar to those discussed here in the Power Train Failure posts.

So I had a Jeep prior to my Lightning, and my local dealership does the same for loaners / Enterprise. Prior I had a BMW and they always had a loaner, like to a point where you could sometimes select what you wanted. Also, just to note, I never had issues with my BMW and only once had an issue with the Jeep, but I overheard other service managers talking to customers. Also, my wife's Lexus dealership offers a vehicle even for an oil change. Sure this is Lexus, but her vehicle is over 10 years old, and I'm just trying to give more examples.

It seems crazy that a dealership can get away with not having to provide a loaner or a rental for warranty issues. So basically a dealership would just not keep any loaners and just claim they don't have any available. GM should be paying the dealerships to keep vehicles available. I don't even care if it's a 5 year old vehicle.

The Ford dealership where I purchased my vehicle does not do rental vehicles either. Scary.
