Speedometer panel completely black

Today something strange happend with my Lightning. I drove it a very short distance, turned it off, got out for about 5 minutes got back in and started it. When I started it the panel with the speedometer and battery level was completely dark. I stopped in a parking lot, turned the Lightning off and back on and the panel was still dark. I continued for about 5 miles and went into a store. So it was turned off for about 10 minutes. When I came back to the truck everything was normal. The panel lit up when I entered the truck with the battery level and estimated miles remaining and when I started the truck everything was fine. I have started it a couple of times since then and everything still seems fine. Could this be an indication that my 12 volt battery is starting to go out. My truck is 18 months old with 21,000+ miles and we live in the Phoenix metropolitan area which means the heat here eats 12 volt batteries.

It is NOT an indication of a 12v problem.

It is an indication of a glitch, nothing more. If it continues, you may need to bring it in.

I agree with Rick above. Unless it continues to do it, it is mostl likely a glitch in the matrix.

Ditto on the heat, yet somehow my original 12v battery is now in it's 4th summer here and still kicking. I've had that screen go black on me once, I ended up having to pull fuse 13 in the passenger footwell after I got home and it still wouldn't come on. After replacing the fuse, it came back to life, no issues since then. It probably would have self corrected had I waited overnight but I was impatient to make sure it came back

Happened right after I got my truck, self cleared and hasn't happened since, little over a year ago.

Happened to me, too about 6 months after getting the truck. Hasn't happened again and I've had the truck for 2.5 years now.

Some updates have been coming through. Have you received any indication you received a software update? Things like this can happen as a result of updating modules. You may have caught it mid-update.

Never had the issue with my 2023 Pro. Maybe it just affects the 'higher' trim levels?
