Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Today I received the following email:

I went back and checked my past emails, and this one matched format close enough (although the phone number "for further information" was different) that I clicked the embedded links within the email. It took me to a website that auto populated with my ford credentials, and had my address, so I am guessing this is legit.

So my Tesla fast charge adapter shouldn't be used, and might have damaged my vehicle. ? Just for the record, the ship date of my Fast Charging Adapter was June 13 of 2024.

Just want others to know if they received something similar.

So the #1 question now is, at what point did they start sending good adapters OR have any of them sent to this point been good. It's possible they've all been bad and they are just slow to send out the notifications.

I was in the first 100 to order the adaptor and have not received the email. Anyone with a low reservation # receive the email? Maybe the initial batch was good and they changed something.

Got the same email today. No idea which order it was for, but I expect that it applies to both so I suppose I should get another email and two replacements.

From Mach-E VLOG on the Mach-E forum:
"I just got verification from Ford that it was one batch of adapters that were affected not all of them. If you got the email, make sure you update your address as it says in the email. If your address is the same, you don't need to do anything. The replacement adapters should start shipping by the end of the month."

This is certainly interesting. I haven’t had any issues up until this point with the Ford supplied adapter. I’ll update if I find any visual differences with the newer version

379, i think, and no email for me so far. puzzling. used mine multiple times on a road trip to vegas when it was 120 degrees and didn't have issues as far as i could tell.
