Had an issue this morning I figured I would post in case anyone else has this issue.
Had the truck plugged in overnight and in the morning I disconnected and went to plug the cable back into the Tesla holster (whatever it’s called) and it wouldn’t take. It wouldn’t latch on at all.
I flipped the breaker thinking a reboot might help, but it didn’t. I then flipped the breaker off and went on to walk my dog, thinking maybe a ‘cold reboot’ would fix it. It did not. Also, it wouldn’t take with no power to the Wallcharger.

I then connected it back to the truck, opened the Tesla app and told it to start charging again. Nothing to charge obviously so it stopped right away, then it was able to connect back into the holster.

Why would it have an electrically actuated lock?

To prevent a very possible and extremely nasty high voltage DC arc flash.

If you've ever disconnected a high voltage dc circuit under load and lived, you would understand, and by high voltage dc, I mean anything over 48v.
