Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires released

As per Toyo, the Ford Lightning factory size 275/60R20 is the first tire size being released however is still not available for order. Any day now. Fingers crossed.

I was holding off on changing out to an A/T tire for these but I am kind of disappointed in the specs of this Toyo. Per their website the 275 60 20 tire weighs 53 lbs. A KO2 of the same size weighs 55lbs. Not sure how that 2 lbs is going to make much difference in efficiency. And yes I saw Toyo saying their tire was more aerodynamic but really? Thinking I may go with the KO2 as I had them on my old F 150 and loved them.

I have a local Toyo tire shop trying to chase this down. He's not getting much back from Toyo for information.
The Toyo site lists specs now, and the load range shown is 123. Way over the current 115 for the factory tires on the door sticker, and tire weight is 53 Lbs!

My current Hankook Dynapro AT2( Factory tire) has a load range of 115 and weighs 41 pounds.

I don't see how Toyos would perform any better than going with K02's with the same specs

The load range of the first tire being released is 123, which is why it’s heavier. There should be a 115 or 116 load rating coming out in the future (can’t remember which rating I saw on the Toyo site in the past, but they deleted the other sizes and load ratings now), and that’s where you’ll see the lighter weight (and likely better for efficiency on our trucks). I’m not sure why the higher load rating is coming out first, but it is what it is. I’ll be waiting for the 115/116.

I realize these aren't the non LT a couple people are waiting for, but I just googled them after I read the article and there are about 10 stores that carry them online including summit. This was just the cheapest option I could find.

Having experience with dropshippers, people will list items for sale and forgo mentioning its on backorder. I would verify from the person you purchased that they are actually in stock. I find it hard to believe a small random dropshipper has stock and not large retailers like tire rack.

I considered this when ordering, however they are not that small. 678 reviews on google. We'll see soon here if it pans out. Worst case, I'm in line when they actually start shipping.
