Unrequested traffic info being spoken

I searched for this before creating this post, but couldn't find anything about it. My issue is not bad, but annoying. Often, although not every time, when I start driving, I will get an announcement about traffic. "The expected wait time due to traffic is XX minutes." This happens when nothing is entered into navigation for a route and there is no rhyme or reason to it. It could happen midday or in the evening, so it isn't happening at a set time. It is also not the Siri voice, so it is not Apple driven. Often, when I am in the middle of nowhere, it will tell me the expected wait due to traffic is zero minutes, because, yeah.... I am not navigating anywhere and there is no traffic. Anyone else?

If you have address entries in the Ford Navigation system, that system may be prompting these alerts, I don't recall off the top of my head if there are options to suppress those alerts, will look later on my coffee run.

I think it’s the same as the Mach-E. There is a setting in the Nav settings to turn off suggestions. It been so long since I switched mine off, I don’t remember the exact path to the setting.

I got tired of the car thinking it knew where I was going and providing info….even if it was right most of the time. ?

Android Auto and Google maps knows our daily driving patterns, based on the hour and day it's 95% on point for what we might be heading out to do, the Mrs. is very ritualistic about patterns and patronizing specific restaurants and stores, it seems we have been assimilated into the collective consciousness of the Borg

This is definitely not Android since I use Apple. And it is definitely not Apple, since the voice is different. I think TaxManHog might have the right idea. So even though I have never put in any addresses to the Sync system (I solely use CarPlay), I will look there. Trying to predict delays when it doesn't even know where I am going is ridiculous.

When I first got my Mach-E, it recognized where I would normally be going based on repeatable patterns and began offering traffic info about where it thought I was going. As stated above, it can be turned off in the nav settings.

Yes, I believe this is a different setting.

Pull the menu via the top center user profile icon.

Tap Nav, then in the lower left corner of map screen tap the wrench icon

then tap settings on the lower bar just below "Change Route"
Explore all the options, one might be responsible for this activity.

You guys were correct. There is a setting in Nav that has recommendations, including traffic time to places it thinks you’ll go.
