I feel your pain, had the same thing happen to me after I had our whole home gen installed. Funny how that works. We get these things just in case but hope we never need and get bent when we don't actually need them, lol. It's almost like paying a lot of money for nothing. My power went out within a week of installing my Generac transfer switch. I was pumped. The power hasn't gone out since.![]()
Nice, are you just hooking it up to the generator port?EG4 12000XP
Yup. Picked up one of these power cords. Cut the female end off and connect direct to the inverter. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085H8XN5Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1Nice, are you just hooking it up to the generator port?
same here works greatI’ve used mine a few times, via a simple generator transfer switch and generator plug. (I had to jury rig the neutral to get around the Truck GFI)
Just have to say, thank you, I know just how you feel!I feel your pain, had the same thing happen to me after I had our whole home gen installed. Funny how that works. Peace of mind is priceless.
This truck’s Power on Board saved our butts and everything perishable in our fridges and freezers during hurricane Helene, a year ago. My storage batteries run low because the getaway module malfunctioned. The truck picked up the mess and saved us from total darkness.....we lost power today for about 7 hours. Plugged in the 240v plug in the bed to my solar inverter to save the wear and tear on my generator.
