Xmas lightning

I saw a Lightning yesterday that had a wreath on the frunk. Got me wondering if anyone has strung Xmas lights on their truck to celebrate the season.

I saw someone used the T slot track from the Retrax XR tonneau to put plastic clips in for C9 bulbs and ran it around the perimeter of the bed. This would keep the lights off the paint. I was going to do it, but I have the Retrax MX rails which don’t have the t slot. Not paying 480 for the upgraded track .

I can only speak for California, but you can legally put all the lights on your car that you want AS LONG AS THEY DON'T BLINK.

I thought about mounting a tree in the back at like a 45 degree angle like I'm taking it home, but with lights because....I can....

This is the second Christmas season I have secured a string of lights around my bed using very small 3M Command hooks stuck to the plastic on the bed rails and rear window, not any painted surfaces. They came off easily last year. The bulbs rattle a bit at highway speed.

I can only speak for California, but you can legally put all the lights on your car that you want AS LONG AS THEY DON'T BLINK.

Hopefully 5.0 will have some season cheer as they are just Christmas lights.... but I do recall Red lights to the rear and Amber up front, and No BLUE lights, they are reserved for emergency vehicles only. At least that is what the officer told me, many years ago. Thankfully it was just a fix it ticket.

I just added lights this year! Using a combination of tie-downs, binder clips and zip-ties to secure. Tried various adhesives last year but they all came off with the morning dew.

I accidentally bought a bunch of strings that run on AA batteries (I thought they where tree lights but I didn't read description carefully). I was thinking about turning them into one long string to put on the truck. I like the idea of 3M command hooks.
