Part of the trip may have been on a trailer, not actually having it's wheels move.

I’d like to think that, but, I have 3 drive summaries from that afternoon, thus driven. The truck when shut off shouldn’t calculate distances based on last and current gps coordinates.

so let me hope they are doing a lot of loading.

it would be helpful if ford site would update consistently. Some get ship info, others do not. Some get updates to eta, others do not. Hope mine doesn’t sit parked all week.

woke it up this morning to refresh position still quietly tucked away in the parking lot.

So as a update to this thread, my FordPass was approved, and I have been tracking the truck. It appears to be at the New Boston Rail Yard since yesterday afternoon, however I am still in "built" status.

It might be a dumb question to ask, but does it turn into "In Transit" when it it goes on the railcar, or does it receive that number before hand?

I have 29 miles on the truck, and originally I thought they were going to take it for testing, but it was brought at the rail yard instead.

Thank you @Pioneer74 so basically even though its been released and driven there (took them around 20 minutes to drive), it still requires time for them to load it, and then it gets updated as "In Transit".

Don't count yourself out. Mine was driven down to the rail yard last night, and hasn't moved or had some type of notification since. The same can happen to everyone. However delivery by tomorrow would be difficult unfortunately. I could also be "stuck" down here for a long time too. I have ~13 days left before it goes to deep sleep, and I won't be able to wake it up.

Deep sleep? Won’t daily wake up keep that from happening.
the other thing if you don’t want to play with door locks, go to zone lighting, during daylight hours and turn a zone for a moment then turn it off. You’ll see confirm of cell communication at top of screen - if you haven’t tried this yet.

I read on Fords site that if you don't drive it for 14 days, it will go into a deep sleep mode and you need to drive it in order to wake it.

My window sticker is the same, no changes.

I have not tried that with the zone lighting, but I might. To be honest I am a bit hesitant since it technically not my truck yet.

For s & giggles called ford. Got the “there was a plant hold, maybe it will update tomorrow with a new eta window”

almost a useless department, in our case not accurate or up to date. With the chip shortage on the other lines, can’t provide those people with any meaningful info.
really seems like a waste of employee expense, when they just recite a vvr.

My build is virtually out of Ford's hands at the moment, and it depends on the rail company. I was a bit elated today when I saw my door was opened, but no movement. I have a feeling it was a worker wanting to see inside the truck as the SOC, and mileage didn't fluctuate after 30 minutes.

What concerns me about this yard is that someone has reported that they are 3 weeks in, with no movement. I heard this on the Ford podcast, and it begs the question - where is Ford in this? They should be checking things out, making sure things ship. I don't mean to place blame, but 3 weeks... thats nuts.

This is why I had another post asking about Auto railcars, and how the business model along with SOPs work. I would think its FIFO, and maybe they sort by destination, however the stated 3 weeks for this one vehicle is very concerning. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, and I am not. Its just I wish I had more information to go by. I refresh every morning looking to see if my status changes in some way, and just feel disappointed when its not. Especially since I know its the weekend, and I am not sure they even work then.

There’s a group that reserved on first night and maybe chose a dealer with small allotment or too many orders. Years ago my grandfather tracked his gas, so a while back i tracked it in an app. I know exactly how much gas I purchase. My 05 f150 was thirsty - I can save a decent amount with electric over gas.

There’s a group that reserved on first night and maybe chose a dealer with small allotment or too many orders. There’s a lot who were just late to the party, and have gotten caught up in the good reviews or high gas prices. I checked around 10 minutes ago, and noticed my SOC went down by 1%. So I refreshed the status and I was moved to front of the area, a lot near the tracks. So as they say in the movie "Pacific Rim" - lets reset the clocks.
