MSRP Increase since order was placed

I tried searching but did find the answer. I placed my order 10/28/22. I just received a call from my dealer that my truck will be available for pickup on 7/5! It's been a long wait. I am trying to get all the pricing in order so I can arrive at the dealership with a check from my credit union. When I asked for a final price the total was $4k more than I have been seeing on my account since I ordered. This is not ADM but that the current MSRP in higher. I know the prices have gone up since my order but I was under the assumption that I was locked in at the price when I ordered. Has anyone dealt with this already? How did you go about it? Thanks in advance.

You've got price protection on confirmation of the order, the dealer ~SHOULD~ front you the credit on your sales settlement documents, but there have many instances where they refuse to do it and force you to buy at the higher price, subject to a refund at a later date once Ford comes through with the credit.

It's sad that dealers can't operate consistently on this issue!

Sorry. I got charged the msrp on the window sticker and got a dealer discount adjusted to the price ordered at.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think you’re in trouble with getting the tax credit. It’s MSRP, not how much you actually paid net out-of-pocket.

Yeah, that's great. You're good, as @MickeyAO said, D&D is specifically excluded in the IRS interpretation.

Based on the values on your sticker, you're truck qualifies, as long as you are not above the income limitations.
