It's entirely possible I'm losing my mind, but has anyone noticed a change in the pitch of the miscellaneous chimes inside the cab? From the door open chime, to the backup obstacle alarm chime, to the "dong dong" chime notifying you of traffic on your route, they all seem to be a higher pitch and not as "warm" as they used to be.

Thoughts?

I've noticed something different, I'll pay better attention next time I'm driving the Lightning, spending as much time on the motorcycle before cold weather hits for the season as I can.

You sure you just didn't have your truck go into deep sleep or throw some other error and have the sound play from the in-dash speaker instead of the sound system?

I don’t know about deep sleep, but I have experienced the chime play through the dash instead of sync, and you have to reboot sync then restart the truck to get it to switch back. And the dash chime is similar but different enough to make you question your sanity.

I've noticed that happens when i get a new OTA update. It goes away within a day IME.

Same here this morning. No indication of any updates made overnight.

That s probably it. How long does the truck need to sit before the Deep Sleep mode comes on?

Mines rarely sitting for longer than a 12-hour period.

It really depends. In theory, the truck should keep the 12V battery charged even when it's off, but the Lightning has been plagued with low 12V battery voltage issues. So I couldn't tell you exactly how long, but I'd say if it's happening after a shirt time, it's usually related to charging somehow. If my truck isn't plugged in, it doesn't usually have a problem for several days if it does at all.

A recent OTA update did change the chimes, I like the new ones.

I agree, however this anomaly is different and I think a previous comment nailed it down. Sometimes the chimes come out of the in-dash speaker, other times it comes out of the Sync system. Something related to whether the truck put itself into deep sleep mode.

2023 F-150 Lightning - Platinum
Can anyone confirm what the chime sounds like? I have a 23’ Lightning Platinum and 99% of the time it makes the familiar Ford loud high pitch beeping chime. I’ve had the car for a few months now and maybe 5 or 6 times it has made this much lower pitched and more gentle chime. I’m beginning to wonder if my one off chime is supposed to be my normal chime or not. I’ve also read one or two places that the platinum might have a different sound, which is bizarre to me and I’m hesitant to believe it. If anyone has any insight.

Softer sounds -

Normal sound (the first chime in this videoc before he restarts)

The chime should be the lower, gentler one. I have noticed the shriller chime after my truck has gone into a "deep sleep", not sure if they still call it that. Where it basically doesn't/can't engage the sound system prior to needing the chime to play, so it uses some older fashioned backup sound device behind the dashboard instead. This is usually accompanied by a "Electrical System Drain" warning where my LVB was low, and why it went into a deeper state of "off"
