For those who have completed the Glare Free mod, have you noticed any impact on your regular auto high beams?

The Glare Free mod gives you toggle option to turn them on, however if you don't and leave the headlight knob in auto, does the truck still turn the high beams on at 33 MPH?

Mine does not. The bending function still works but the auto high beam does not when Glare Free is turned off.

First time poster, long time lurker. Thank you to the community for all this info, I was able to add Glare Free lights without any hiccups.

After the Glare Free upgrade, did you notice you're regular Auto Highbeams don't work when the Glare Free feature if turned off?

Why are you turning Glare Free off? Seems like glare free is just an enhanced version of auto high beam. Haven’t done the mod but my understanding of what glare free does seems like it could stay on.

'Cause I wanted to see what would happen. It seems either I fat-fingered one of the hexidecimal entries, or there's a bug somewhere in the coding. Hence why I asked some folks for feedback on whether auto-high-beam still works when Glare Free is unlocked but turned off.

I'll likely restore the as-builts and go back through all the Glare Free modules again to make sure I didn't miss something. Or if someone chimes in and confirms my situation, then I won't bother trying to troubleshoot.

After the glare-free mod my auto high beams seem to function the same as before, they definitely turn on and off automatically alongside the matrix functionality of avoiding other vehicles. I haven't needed to touch the headlight control dial at all while driving with glare-free on (I love this setting).

When I turn the glare-free option off in the settings, that Green Headlight Icon with the "A" on the lower left goes away and I lose all automatic light functions. The auto high beams definitely do not work for me when I turn glare-free off in the settings.

With Glare-Free on, that icon stays there at all times and even while my high beams are on, it's just those 2 icons displayed, the blue high beam headlight never shows unless I manually turn them on with the stalk.

Mine functions the same way, except i get the blue high beam icon when the high beams kick in and goes off when the high beams drop out (low speed or more ambient light).

Extraordinarily useful. Thanks very much. It seems we both have the same bugs/functionality. Like you, my auto highbeams don't function with Glare Free enabled but turned off. I also noticed if you accidentally flick the left stalk instinctual to flash an oncoming driver who didn't turn off their high beams, then Glare Free stops working. To get it working again I have to toggle them off then back on again.

Wonder if these glitches are present in vehicles that natively have Glare Free enabled?

Do we know what vehicles have this as an option? Something like a Navigator maybe? Something we can crib the asbuilt values off of?

I recall reading the Canadian lightnings had that feature enabled, and that Glare Free is allowed in the Euro market.

If I need to flash someone and I pull the stalk toward me (or push away from me), it does flash and shut off glare free. I am able to just push the stalk away from me and it turns glare free back on without having to go back into the settings menu. It seems like pulling towards yourself is a momentary flash and pushing away from you is a toggle to the setting, from what I can tell.

Has anyone successfully performed the mod for folding mirrors?

Lincoln Folding Mirrors Setting (folds when locked--only unfolds when ignition started): successful in Lariat ER with 5/5/22 build date.

My understanding is the mirrors should remain folded when the truck is unlocked and the doors is opened. They should unfold when the truck is started or the door is closed (which ever happens first). and should remain folded if, after the door is unlocked, opened, locked and then closed again.

What I am seeing is the mirror is stay folded when the door is unlocked and opened. If I hit the lock button, the mirror immediately unfolds and remains unfolded when the door is closed.

If I unlock, open the door and manually press the lock rod down, close the door, the mirror will unfold and immediately fold again.

Any help is appreciated.

No, and it's looking doubtful it would work with our trucks. That functionality is tied to the memory function for the seats as I recall. Those with that memory function that tried the mod found multiple issues, including, as I recall a grinding noise as the motor doesn't know where to properly stop.

Understood. What's odd is that enabling Glare Free, but not toggling it on, disables Auto High Beam. This would suggest the vehicles with Glare Free from the factory also don't have Auto High Beam, but then why would there be an Auto High Beam setting on the dial? Maybe those trucks have a different dial that does not have the setting?

At least it seems odd to me.

The dial is not Auto High Beam. It is Auto Headlights to turn them on or off when it gets dark.

What seems odd to me is that from the system description (attached), you would think that all higher trim trucks have the glare free function built in already. And that all you had to do was turn it on or off from the settings screen.
