Early Access disclosure violation, does anyone on the MachE forum moderate anything over there?

I saw that thread 2 weeks ago. Lots of posts but closed down the same day. Mostly a bunch of whining and speculation. Good thing we don’t do that.
Right? Right?

Exciting news to those wanting the new version of BC: A few ICE trucks (2023 only) are showing a new IPMA update in FDRS as of last night. It is believed to be the missing link to activate BC 1.4. If we are getting it, then it will be trickling down to you guys very soon, too. No one has announced getting it via OTA yet.

Follow up to the post above: Files dropped for 2022 ICE trucks today and a 2023 Lightning I checked in FDRS last night showed the IPMA and PSCM updates, too.

I know of a few people that have applied the updates with FDRS and it does not activate BC 1.4 yet. For some reason, the IPMA update writes all zeros where the new goodies should be. In addition to that, the APIM most likely needs an update to add the toggle switches for lane change assist, predictive speed, etc.

We're getting closer and they are obviously actively working on it.

Ok - new question. Will we get a Bluecruise update before T3 is either A) revealed or B) released?

Mostly just teasing. I am very happy with 1.0 and anything more is just a cherry on top.

T3? Sorry, but all my brain sees when I saw that is Arnold in a black leather jacket saying "I'll be back".

I had BC in my 2021MME, it was nice but also incredibly annoying. Hands free is cool, but every time I held my travel mug on front and took drinks it would yell at me to maintain eyes on the road. It was honestly too sensitive in monitoring my attentiveness and bounced back and forth in the lane all the time. In Atlanta it always hugged right and I sweat almost clipped semi trucks hugging left to me. The enhanced cruise in the XLT is another reason I down graded and simplified my life after 31k MME miles.

In addition to that, those are things that were greatly improved by doing an IPMA calibration on my truck when I was still on BC 1.0.

Why did it need a calibration? It wasn't well calibrated from the factory?

I would not be able to say. I had a job 1 truck that shipped to the dealer with BC hardware and the promise that BC software was coming via OTAs. That would never have happened had I not intervened with a Mongoose and FDRS, but that's another story. By the time I got BC working, I already had a 2.5" level and aftermarket wheels/tires. I am sure that had some kind of an effect on my IPMA calibration. After I calibrated the IPMA, it made a huge improvement.

With all of that said: Other owners with non-modified vehicles have reported improvements in BC behavior after an IPMA calibration was done, and others have reported no change. It can be done with FORScan, so it is well worth a shot as it won't make it worse.
